We went to the zoo for spooktacular. Jared kept calling it going to the Jungle and the Wild. He didn't want to leave. We rode on the trick or treat train and that was just wonderful. The zoo had a ton of cut out of cartoon characters that he just loves. He wanted his picture taken with all of them. The best part of the night for mom and dad is that Jared refuses to eat candy so we got all of the candy.

Jared is learning to swing on his own. He gets a little frustrated but is determined to learn how. The pictures show him determined to do it and then happy when mom finally pushed him

We had another fun day at Nana and Papa's house. Kim, James, Kolton, and Sierra were down from Lees Summit. The kids love playing together. We were glad it was still warm enough to go outside. They are bundles of energy and they hate to stay inside. We do not want the cold to come.

Aunt Joyce and Grandma Chastain brought over ooey gooey cupcakes with Halloween decorations on them. The kids got more on their cute little faces than in their bellies, but they enjoyed them.

Once again we road tripped to Columbia for yet another Mizzou Victory. Jared gets so excited about going. He looks forward to crossing the Missouri River at Jeff City and then he sings the fight song all the way to the game. This weekend we watched them beat Iowa State. The pictures are Jared's favorite things at the game. He loves Big MO the bass drum, the pushups done by Truman, the Bass Pro tent so he can fish, and just dressing like a tiger.

Gymnastics

Jared started gymnastics about a month ago. He really enjoys it and of course he enjoys all the little girls. They are his new friends. He loves to do the vault and the balance beam. He is not so sure of the trampoline. He has got to swing on the bars a couple of times and enjoyed hanging like a monkey.

It has really taught him to stand in line, listen, and watch others for instructions. Megan, the teacher, says he does a good job of listening and that his skills will come.

We are having a good time watching him try.

The tornado from Wednesday night hit not far from our home. We were all getting home from work and made it to the basement in time to see the clouds roll over.

Jared's Birthday

We have spent the last two weekends celebrating Jared's 3rd birthday. The first weekend we went to the MU vs Nebraska football game. GO Tigers.

This weekend we had the whole family over to celebrate it. He was overwhelmed with all of the gifts, but is enjoying them.
