Rock Angel
If you don't know how the soil in SW MO is then come visit our home. No matter how much topsoil we have added to our yard we still seem to have rocks growing (instead of grass). We have been picking up rocks and carrying to the rock pile. Hopefully we won't tear up so many lawnmower blades this year.
On Sunday as Jared and I were picking up the rocks I told him I thought the rocks were growing. He told me that rocks could not grow and that the rock Angel was placing the rocks in our yard. Craig and I argued that it might be the rock Devil but he told us no and that the Rock Angel did it so that we could pick them up.
He says the greatest things.

long time
Well we have played the first soccer game. It was quite exciting and Jared was worn out. He ate good and went right to bed. It is amazing what a little warm weather and exercise do to our bedtime routine. We get to play outside and we are ready for bed a lot earlier.
Well I have been gone a few days on a company retreat. It was very productive and enjoyable. However I am always glad to get back home and back in my routine. It is nice to eat out and stay in a hotel, but it doesn't take long for it to get old even if someone else is paying.
Update on dad:
He is going to St. Louis in a little over a week for his reconstructive surgery. He hopes to get everything taken care of in the next couple of weeks so he can start the recovery part and be ready to get on the golf course.
This is just a little bit of catch up from the Jackson household. I hope to be a little better with keeping up in the next few weeks.

Soccer, Yippee!
We have been waiting to play soccer for almost a year and the excitement for Jared has not wained. He can't wait to get up on Fridays so the he can go to the sitter and then on to practice. I am glad practice is a fun thing in his mind, because from experience I know that practice becomes a dread and only the games are fun. (We can all use the practice, however)
Last Friday we were to have our first practice and when we got there the temp. was 27 degrees. Not exactly soccer weather for four year olds. We have practice tonight and it should be much better.
He asked all my family to come to practice. That is how excited he is. I think he thinks he is playing a game.

The Good Samaratin
Jared's church lessons have been on serving and helping others the past few weeks. They have do some amazing crafts to emphasize the lesson. This past week they talked about the Good Samaratin and how we should treat others. Later in the week Craig found his McGee and me videos from when he was a youngster. (they are really outdated for style, but have great messages). Jared has really taken a liken to them. His favorite one is "The Good Samerican" or as we commonly know the story the "Good Samaratin". He keeps going around the house telling us that we should help others and treat each other like the good Samerican. It is so cute when they think they hear one thing and keep repeating it.
Jared had a little trouble at church on Sunday so Sunday night I was telling mom and dad about it. Later my mom made mention of it to him and told him to behave. He asked her how she knew about him getting in trouble. She told him that God told her. He quickly replied that God wouldn't tattle or talk to her about it because he treated everyone nice. He then brought up the Good Samerican and told my mom to read it. To say the least we were laughing so hard that we couldn't stand up.
Thanks again to those who take of their time to teach my child and other children (no matter what church in what city) about God and their salvation.
