Sunday mornings

Sunday mornings seem to be just a little bit of quiet time for me.

Well we did make it to church last weekend with a little bit of strong urgings of mom to get everyone in gear. This Sunday we aren't going to be so lucky.

Jenna has been acting sick for a few days so yesterday I took her to the doctor. The doctor said she looked perfectly fine and nothing was wrong with her. Boy was he wrong. She woke up with green junk, cough and fever this morning. I am sure it is another trip to the doctor today. Why can't the highly educated doctors believe a mom who knows way more about their child than the doctor?

On another note my mom has not been feeling well and is going to have some major medical tests done to see what is wrong. We are believing, praying, and hoping that it is just an infection that can be taken care of by medicine and not the bad junk (which I refuse to talk about or say) that the ER doctor said it was.

So we covet your prayers the next few weeks as we find out what might be going wrong.

Sunday morning

It is a Sunday morning in Januay and all is quiet in my house. Jared is still asleep, Jenna got up ate a bottle and went back to sleep, Craig was up at 4 to help a buddy do something at his house and now is back to sleep, and I am up trying to get laundry done and things ready to leave for church. I am not sure I will be able to get everyone around in time to make it church.

I hate to disturb them because we all need rest to stay healthy and happy.

I may be having church by myself. As I reflect on that, that may not be that bad. Sometimes it is good to delve deep into the word all by yourself. Meditate on it and really see how God wants to work. Sometimes church can be more social and one forgets why they are there. So with that being said I am off to finish laundry and to get things ready in case they wake up in time.

A long time

It has been a long time since I have been on the computer. My Iphone helps me do quick searches and I can post quick things like the New Years Day post, but to type much it is a pain.

Since I have been on we have had a three or four Christmas gatherings (so my house is still a wreck with new toys, boxes, and clothes), we have been to Houston, TX for the Mizzou Bowl game, we are back to work on a normal schedule, we have a snow storm and bitterly cold weather, Jenna has gotten her first tooth, and I am sure if I had the time I could tell you all about Jared and his cute sayings. But I will save that for another day.

So as 2010 starts or is half way through the first month already, I hope that each of us can enjoy many blessings and happy times with our friends and family. Here is to a great 2010.
