Christmas is fast approaching and I am way behind. We have just a few of our decorations out and no shopping done. What in the world am I going to do. I need to get the kids to Santa's workshop to see Santa. Jared is getting worried that Santa might not find him.
Jenna has no idea what Christmas is all about, but Jared tries to tell her about it.
Well I best get off the computer, so I can work on my Christmas cards, get out the decorations get the kids ready to go to town, buy the plates for Jesus' birthday party that I am having for the kids and the list could go on and on.
I think it wasn't too many days ago that i posted that it was 70 days til Christmas. Time flies when you are having a good time.
Until next time....
Enjoy the Christmas Season!

Thanksgiving
I have so much to be thankful for.
I have a wonderful husband (who picks up the kids every day).
I have two wonderful healthy children
I have a family that helps no matter what
I have a church and church family
I have a home
I have a job and so does my husband
I have wonderful friends
and the list can go on and on forever
But the thing that I can not stand about this time of year is that the world has forgot that we have a day called Thanksgiving. The stores are so worried about making a dollar for Christmas that we have forgot Thanksgiving.
So before we think about Christmas (which by the way I am thankful for the Christmas holiday and Jesus' birth) lets stop and be thankful for what we have been given.

What we have been up to!
Well the Jacksons have been so busy that we haven't had time to write. And I say we have been busy, but I can't really tell you what we have done to keep ourselves busy. A few football games, some kids concerts, some shopping, a birthday party, and mostly I have been sick with sinus junk and a horrible cough. Haven't felt like keeping up.
So here comes the holidays and I hope I have time to get back on the computer.
So for now... we are doing well. Hope to talk soon.

raining
Jared didn't want to get up this morning because it was raining and dark outside.
He said mom it is raining too hard I think we will be rained in. I told him we only got snowed in and he said to let it snow.
Can you say he didn't want to get up!!!

tigers game
The tigers have had two home games. Week one Jared went, week two Jenna made her appearance. Two kids are too much to get all the way from the parking lot, sit at the game and all the way back to the car. So one it ill be this year.
You may ask where are the pictures of Jenna at her first game and Jared at the game last week. Well lo and behoold I packed the camera and got all the way in to the stadium and realized it was still in the car. So I cant post the pictures of Jared without some for Jenna.
I guess you can tell Jenna is the second child.

Yet another cute story from my four year old!

Driving to work the other morning Jared candidly asked me
"Do you know who makes the sun come up every day" Of course I answered with me, dad, papa Mike, etc. Finally he said let me give you a clue. He told me that "the person did not live here anymore" So I replied with the answer an angel. He said no, but that I was close and that he would give me another clue. His second clue was that he was "white, shiny, and glowing". I responded with God and he reassured me that he was thinking of Jesus, but God was close.
He then gave me clues to guess who else he was thinking about. We went through the game with Peter, Angel, Jonah, etc. all the way to work. At one point I was supposed to give clues and he would guess. Little did I know I didn't give him the clues exactly as the Veggie Tales movies so I was not quite as good as he was.
It is so fun to hear his knowledge about everything but especially the Bible.
BTW this morning he told me he knew everything -I told him we would have to see.

Friends and Family

We were so lucky to get to spend last weekend with our Friend Thea and her little boy, Sam, and her sister Tori. They drove in from Chicago.
Sam is five months old and is just precious. He is the little guy that when I found out we were having a girl I texted Thea and asked if Sam had a prom date. Who knew that Jenna and Sam would hit it off so well. Check out the picture - They are holding hands. I am not one for arranged marriages or dates, but this just might be fate.
When Thea is here, my family is all together so we took the opportunity to snap a shot or two. Logie's boy is in one and Tori is in some.
Check out my two month old next to the five month old.

family update

We have been attending some baseball games including going to St. Louis last weekend. Both kids were angels.
Jenna was born 8 weeks ago today. She is growing and changing so fast. She weighs close to 13 lbs. Well you can probably guess if she was born 8 weeks ago that i am back to work. I went back Monday. It was hard but I am very fortunate that I have a wonderful sitter that watches Jared and Jenna.
Jared has adjusted well. He is a great big brother. He loves on sister all the time.
Life continues on at the Jacksons.

a funny from VBS
The first night of VBS I forgot to ask him if he needed an offering, but I asked him the second and third night and he kept telling me no. So I believed him. Why not, our church doesn't do an offering for the little kids due to the fear they will eat the money. Well our hairdresser was his teacher so she was doing my moms hair on Thursday and we were talking about VBS. She said Jared was doing well and having a good time. We got to talking about the offering and she said the reason Jared didn't want to bring an offering was because he was bumming money from the pastor and his teacher so he didn't have to bring his own money. While we laughed and thought it was funny it was also a chance for us to teach him about giving.

Bible School
our church doesn't have bible school, so we decided to send him to Halltown Baptist church. He didn't know a soul when he started on Sunday night. He made friends with the pastor. He knows every one now. He is having a great time and can't wait to get there each night. Thanks to all the volunteers who still feel it is important.

words that sound different out of a child's mouth
Jared is always saying things that he hears us say. Craig and I are always sayin "oh Lord". Jared has begun to say it in situations that don't seem so good but yet it is reaaly cute. So we were talking about it and he told me it was ok to say because he loved God and he was just talking about him.

Tball
Well Tball has come and gone just as fast as soccer went. Jared had a great time playing tball and learned a lot about the game of baseball. (I can't say that he still has the patience to watch a full game or even a half of game but we are getting better). He enjoyed having Kolton on his team and meeting a bunch of little boys that he will go to kindergarten with. Most of them will go to Bois D Arc, and right now Jared should go to Ash Grove. We are not sure where we will send him.
I have pictures of him playing, but with the new computer I am struggling to get it all figured out.
I will post them sooner or later.

Holiday weekend
Jenna is having her first holiday, the Fourth of July. We went to Ash Grove's fireworks last Sunday night. Jared loved them. He thought they were awesome, but baby Jenna was scared to death. We won't be attending any of the big ones. We are going to have our family over on Sat. and just shoot some off in our back yard. Hopefully papa will be able to come over. He has been in the hospital again this week with his last surgery (hopefully).
Just remember to thank those you know and don't know for our their service so that we might be able to celebrate our freedoms.

doctors visits
Well I have heard parents (of more than one child) say they go to the doctors office more than anywhere else sometimes. Well that was my week this week. I only got to go two places since it has only been a week since my c-section, but those two places were to the doctors office and Jared's baseball game.
I went to the doctor with Jenna on Monday for a weigh in and check up, lo and behold she got extremely stuffy on Wednesday and they wanted to see her to make sure it wasn't interfering with her weight gain. Then on Friday Jared woke up and said he had a sore throat. So Craig took him to the doctor yesterday. We told Jared that the doctor could eat out last night just on our bills. I guess that is life.
We are going to try to get out and go somewhere today. I am going crazy sitting at home.

first day at home
It is my first day at home on maternity leave (no baby yet) and I am bored stiff. Jared is asleep, I have snacked, I have tried to watch the afternoon tv show (to no avail they are all more than I want to watch or don't want to face) the house is clean (thanks to my mom, dad, grandma, and aunt) and now I am on the computer checking my email and decided I would let you know that I would never make a stay at home mom. I guess I don't know how to relax. I love work and helping others and it makes me use my brain. I hate to sit idle.
I am going to go try to make some homemade muffins. I bought some blueberries this weekend. Maybe that will occupy me for a while.
Baby gets here Wednesday morning. We are ready to hold her tight and bring her home to her big brother who is so excited to see her.

new sayings and words
We are big Veggie Tale fans and have been long before Jared, but especially since he has been big enough to watch them. He has always had a thing that he was scared of the one called Sumo. We had no idea why, but we never made him watch it once he told he didn't like it. Well in the last few weeks Sumo has become his favorite movie. It is about perservering through trials. Everytime we go to do something or he does something on his own he now tells us he is in training (like the character on Sumo) and that he will perservere until he gets it done. It has been great motivation for us when it was something he didn't want to do and he loves to be told that he has accomplished it.
His other new saying is that he is as thirsty as a camel. I don't care if he just drank a whole cup of juice or whatever if he wants more he says he is as thirsty as a camel and needs more. I guess he has heard somewhere that camels drink a lot and store it.

quick update
c-section date still set for the 10th of June.
Cute comment:
My four year old nephew asked me last night how the basketball in my shirt was going to come out as a baby? Jared replied to him that it was his baby sister and she was just kicking to get out.

Family Update
getting ready for the first tot ball game
planting flowers, his toys as the tools
Addie's swim party. We were sick after this. Well, it seems as if forever since I have been on here, but things keep going by so fast and we are so busy that I have not had time.
I just bought a new computer, so maybe I will be able to keep up better since I will be able to do it from home, instead of my parents or work.
Well, if you haven't talked to me I spent the better part of Sunday before Memorial day in the hospital. Yuck!. I am going today to the doctor for an exam. He is going to tell me if I have a new c-section date or keep the 10th. As you can tell that has us kept us up in arms a little bit. Baby Girl Jackson wants to get here and I am miserable enough to say yea, bring on the c-section and lets get it over with.
I am going to put a few pictures of the things keeping us busy these days. We are helping coach the Tot ball team, we have planted a few new flower beds. (I love doing this, it would just be better to not be 9 months pregnant trying to do it), have new cows to take care of, mowing the farm with all this rain, and putting up hay just to name a few things
